Working overtime, fighting crime ... fighting crime!

Transformers are big. Thundercats are big.

What I remember really digging, though, is M.A.S.K. For years, I believed that any car could be turned into a fighter jet if you outfitted it with doors that opened upward, instead of out. I couldn't figure out why all cars weren't made that way.

I remember M.A.S.K. mostly for the truly awesome toys (Billy and I had at least the "Hurricane '57 Chevy" and Trakker's "Thunderhawk," maybe others).

What I didn't remember is the rockin' opening song from the show.

(A post today on Jalopnik sent me on this nostalgia trip.)

I will alert the future doctor of this entry in your BLOG - he was a big transformer fan. I don't recall MASK, but maybe he will. Ask Metta if she does.

DUUUUDE!!

So weird!
I too had entirely forgot about MASK. BUT DUUUDE! Literally, I swear to God, last week Thursday I cleaned grandmas garage, and I found one of our MASK coloring books!!
And I thought, hey, Billy and Dustin would love to hear about this thing. But, I could tell by the sophistication of the colored pages that you guys were too young and decided you guys wouldn't remember it at all.

What a coincidence. After like what, 2o years. Weird.

Anyhow. I saved it. I could send it to Liam now.

btw, the motorcycle that turned into a helicopter was my favorite.

I wonder if Honda will make one of those some day.

I totally found myself singing along to that song even though I hadn't heard it for 10+ years. Thanks to MASK and GI Joe my childhood was much more complete.
